Georgia Governor's Honors Program (GHP)

The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for outstanding high school students who will be rising juniors and seniors during the program The program offers instruction that is significantly different from the typical high school classroom and that is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

GHP is held mid-June to mid-July as a residential educational experience on a college campus. The Governor's Honor Program is currently accepting applications. Students interested must be nominated either by a teacher or they may self nominate.

Areas of nomination include: Agricultural Science; Communicative Arts; Dance; Engineering; Math; Music; Science; Social Studies; Theatre; Visual Arts; and World Languages. Exceptional 10 or 11th grade students should discuss nominations with their respective teachers for this prestigious program. All application documents must be submitted by October 13, 2017.
